THE FUTURE OF DRONES
Today, commercial drones are categorised as Electronic Vehicles. Drones come in different sizes and are equipped with different functions. Besides being equipment for aerial videography, it’s also a piece of innovative equipment that is invested in military surveillance, land mapping, agriculture, and many industries.
In 2020, NASA’s The Mars Helicopter – Ingenuity was launched to Mars for a space mission; experimenting with controlled drone flight in Mars’ atmosphere. This propelled the interest in introducing industrial drones in many sectors, pushing the need for skilled professional pilots to operate these Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.
Drones are constantly improving every day and new functions are added for different tasks. Soon, drones will be involved in many sectors and lead the world into the next industrial revolution.

Afnan has been involved in UAV industry since 2020. He is formally a Surveyor that operates a drone for his job. He has experience in many projects such as RGB Mapping, LiDAR Mapping, and Inspection projects. Other than fieldwork, Afnan also has been involved in drones data processing and drone data analysis using GIS software
To build his career in UAV industries, Afnan now has joined DronesKaki Professional as a Drone Specialist and also a Certified DJI Trainer. Training new drone pilots and being active in drone service is only part of the job, Afnan also has attended countless UAV events as a part of drone activist.
Trainer: Muhammad Danial bin Mohammad Ridzwan
Danial has been in the drone industry ever since he graduated with his bachelor’s studies in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. Being from the aviation industry, he is already familiar with the fundamental of drone technology and has been involved in the drone industry since his internship in early 2021. Since then, he continues to be involved in different types of drone-related projects in the industry. Some of these projects such as mapping, inspection, and training operations.
As an HRDF Train-the-Trainer (TTT) and DJI Academy certified trainer, he has been involved and handling in numerous drone technology projects and workshops since he joined DronesKaki Professional in late 2021.”
